When you use SocialMax, we may collect the following types of information:

• Billing and payment information if you subscribe to a paid plan.

1.2 Social Media Platform Data

When you connect your social media accounts to SocialMax, we collect data from those platforms to provide our services. This includes:

TikTok Data: When you connect your TikTok account, SocialMax accesses the following data through the TikTok API:

• user.info.basic — Your TikTok display name, avatar URL, and open ID for account identification.
• user.info.profile — Your TikTok bio description, profile link, and related profile information.
• user.info.stats — Public statistics such as follower count, following count, video count, and likes count.
• video.upload — Ability to upload video content to TikTok on your behalf.
• video.publish — Ability to publish uploaded video content to your TikTok account.
• video.list — Access to your list of published TikTok videos including video metadata (title, description, view count, like count, share count, create time).

Other Platforms: Similar profile, content, and analytics data from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and YouTube as authorized by you during the account connection process.

1.3 Content Data

• Videos, images, captions, and other media you upload to SocialMax for scheduling and publishing.
• Scheduling preferences and publishing settings.

1.4 Usage Data

• Log data, device information, browser type, and IP address.
• How you interact with the SocialMax platform (features used, pages visited).

2. How We Use Your Information

SocialMax uses the collected information for the following purposes:

• Scheduling and Publishing: To schedule and publish your content to connected social media platforms, including TikTok, at the times you specify.
• Analytics: To retrieve and display performance metrics for your published content, helping you understand engagement and audience growth.
• Account Management: To display your connected social media profiles and manage your publishing workflow.
• Service Improvement: To improve, maintain, and optimize the SocialMax platform.
• Communication: To send you service-related notifications, updates, and support responses.
• Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and unauthorized access.

3. Data Sharing

SocialMax does not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Social Media Platforms: We transmit your content to the social media platforms you have connected (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) in order to publish your scheduled posts.
• Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party services for hosting, analytics, and payment processing. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your SocialMax account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:

• Account data is retained until you delete your account.
• Content data (uploaded media and captions) is retained until you delete it or close your account.
• Analytics data retrieved from social media platforms is cached temporarily and refreshed periodically.
• Log and usage data is retained for up to 12 months for security and service improvement purposes.

5. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time by:

• Deleting your SocialMax account through the account settings page.
• Contacting us at support@socialmax.cloud to request complete data deletion.

Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data, uploaded content, and connected account information within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

When you disconnect a social media account (e.g., TikTok) from SocialMax, we immediately stop accessing data from that platform and delete the associated tokens and cached data within 7 days.

6. Data Security

SocialMax implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
• Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication for all social media platform connections.
• Regular security audits and access controls.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
